Guys, sometimes our cells don't do things correctly. this can result in things like down syndrome and cancer. today i'm going to explain cancer to you so you understand how people get it!
Cancer is a general term for a lot of different diseases and you get cancer when your cells grow uncontrollably and they become more powerful. cancer cells are usually spread through the bloodstream to other parts of the body.  This is why people go through radiation and chemo to treat cancer- the radiation kills the cancer cells, but it also kills other cells which is why people get really weak and loose their hair. a type of cancer is thyroid cancer, which is in your throat.  my grandpa had it, but thankfully it isn't a very aggressive form of cancer so he only had a few months of chemo treatment. chemo works sometimes, but other times when the cancer is really strong, chemo isn't affective. sometimes when the cancer is strong, you have to undergo surgery so the doctors can try to cut out the cancer cells. this only happens when the cancer is far along and is very strong. otherwise, most people go through chemo treatments. i hope you all understand how cancer works and understand why it is so powerful now!

here are some great Mitosis/ Meiosis songs or videos! :D

GUYS MEIOSIS. OMG OMG OMG. THIS IS HOW WE WERE CREATED. HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?!?! :D
ALRIGHT ALRIGHT ILL CALM DOWN NOW.
Alright! So just like Mitosis it goes through P.M.A.T. BUT there
is MORE! :D Ok you start out in Prophase 1 where the spindle fiber begin to form! BUT THERE IS MORE TO PROPHASE The pair of chromosomes in a sense ‘swap’ and this is called crossing over!---------------------------------------------------------->
2nd Metaphase 1 the chromosomes pair up and line up along the equator------------------------------------------------------>
3rd is ANAPHASE where the spindle fibers pull the chromosomes to opposite poles!
But then finally is Telophase 1! Where the nuclear membrane forms!!
BUT THERE IS MORE! Because Meiosis form 4 daughter cells it has to go through the process again! but this time it is a bit different!!
Prophase 2 which is the same as regular prophase the spindle fibers are forming

Then metaphase! this is where it starts to change the chromosomes line up along the equator again! BUT THIS TIME. they don't have a pair!!
THEN it is Anaphase 2! The chromosomes are pulled apart to opposite poles!

FINALLY it is telophase 2! The 2 new cells form nuclear membranes and then there are 4 daughter cells :D

ALSO. unlike Mitosis all 4 daughter cells are UNIQUE. :D
Okay guys, I realized something the other night....
i've been making a ton of mitosis jokes without explaining mitosis
so all my viewers are probably confused :/
so here i will tell you all about it today!! alright.... like i said in a previous blog post, think of it like PMAT (pee-mat). as inhumane as it is, it helps. meh.
The first step of PMAT is Prophase! In prophase, the chromatin condenses and the nuclear membrane dissolves. the cell looks like this-------------------->

The second step of mitosis is M. Metaphase! In metaphase, the centomeres attach to the spindle fibers.  Chromosomes are then pulled to the equator of the cell.  This picture shows it! ---------------------------------------->

The third step of mitosis is A-Anaphase! this is my favorite phase, cause my name is Anna! HAHAH PUNNY!!!!  In anaphase the sister chromosomes are pulled to opposite ends, or poles, of the cell! This picture shows it nicely! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------->

We finish up the beautiful phase of mitosis with Telophase. In Telophase, a nuclear membrane forms around each daughter chromosome! -------------->

WOW! WHAT A GREAT CYCLE!! I MEAN THIS IS PART OF CELL DIVISION AND IT'S HAPPENING INSIDE OF US RIGHT NOW!!! YOU GUYS!! MY MIND IS BEING BLOWN RIGHT NOW!!!!!!
better go pick up the random scattered parts of my brain that just flew everywhere.. ya know... cause my mind was BLOWN! HAHAH SO FUNNY
-Cell ya later!!
This is the CELL CYCLE! its like my fave thing EVAAAH.
First of all, the colored in pizza looking thing symbolizes interphase!
Interphase is the longest part of the cell cycle.
The first step is 'G1' :D That is where the cell grows and does it job pretty much!
The next step is 'S' in this step the DNA replicates!!
Next is 'G2' this is again where the cell grows and prepares for Mitosis!!
NEXT WELL BLOG ABOUT MITOSIS :D THE REST OF THE CELL CYCLE :D

Guys I love making parodies of songs..
For example..
IM CELLY AND I KNOW IT!

BAD CELLS BAD CELLS WHATCHA GONNA DO WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN I COME FOR YOU

LOLZ im funny.
-Cell ya later!
LOLZ I LOVE MITOSIS JOKES!
LOL some people in my class thought that interphase wasn't the longest part of the cell cycle. lol that's like saying that we spend most of our life blinking instead of breathing. lol. also look at this sweet pic i found! LOL

If you mix up the order of the step of Mitosis Im judgin' you.
Today in biology we learned about cell division and it was seriously the easiest thing EVER! like some people didn't get that most of the cells are in interphase because it's the longest phase!! and some people thought that the order of the mitosis phases were Metaphase, Prophase, Telophase then Anaphase?! UHG it's OBVIOUSY Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase THEN Telophase? it just wouldn't make sense.  I mean come on guys let's just think a little bit.  Why would the cell chromosomes be divided then go back like they thought it was (Metapahse to Prophase)? And how could Telophase happen before Anaphase? Why would the cells separate then have the sister chromosomes pulled to the opposite polls? It just doesn't make sense.  The order is obvious- Nuclear membrane dissolving, centromeres attaching to the spindle fibers and the chromosomes being pulled, the sister chromosomes pulled to the opposite sides of the cell and the cell separating to form 2 cells. IDIOTS
whatever.

MITOSIS JOKE

LOLZ even though this its supposed to be Meiosis this is FUNNY.  #CellJokes #reproduction #Bunnies
Guys imagine me on a Cell themed Jeopardy game.
LOLZ they'd be all like, "What is the cell cycle?"
and I'd be all like, "MMM THATS EASY! What is the process through which a cell grows and divides to create a copy of itself? DUUUH"
and then the bell would go all like DING DING DING YOUR CORRECT.

But seriously guyzz it would happen that way.
-Well Cell ya Later!

MITOSIS

OMG. Today in science we learned about Mitosis. Not like I didn't already know everything about it. LOLZ and OMG no one in the class knew how to remember the steps of Mitosis.  The teacher had to have them remember it by referring to it as if it were a dog! LOLZ P.M.A.T?  YOU KIDDIN ME? I've had Prophase, Metaphase, Antaphase, and Telophase memorized since I came out of the womb!! Lolz guys it isn't that hard!!
BUT SERIOUSLY WHY WOULD YOU COMPARE SOMETHING AS MAGNIFICENT AS MITOSIS TO SOMETHING AS INHUMANE AS THIS!?!
Well thats all for now!! LOLZ

guys, i just love cells so much.  I seriously can't get over how amazing and MINDBLOWING they are!!!!!!!!!!! my mind is constantly being blown by how great they are. seriously. i have a headache from it. omg. but how do they know to reproduce and stuff its amazing!! LOLZ Gotta go!!
